The cooler Florida days have arrived. If you have not winterized your swimming pool, now is the perfect time to do so.

Our Winterizing Tips

Remove Algae: Prior to winterizing your pool, add a phosphate remover to remove any algae from the water.
Deep Clean Swimming Pool: It is important to brush and vacuum debris and algae from your swimming pool during the winterization process. This step will allow for an easier spring opening.
Balance Water Chemistry: Test your water’s chemistry prior to closing. Alkalinity should range between 80-120ppm and the pH level should be between 7.4 and 7.6. You can also shock the pool during this time to kill any bacteria that may be lingering in the water.
Backwash & Drain: Now is the best time to backwash your filter and drain the lines. Draining lines will prevent freezing during the colder nights with freezing temperatures.

If you need assistance in winterizing your swimming pool, do not delay! Call us to schedule your one-time or monthly pool service.
