This area may have a few more cold days in store, but pretty soon every day will be a day for swimming in your beautiful pool that you’ve been longing for all winter.
If you haven’t gotten your pool ready yet, now is the time. Daylight Saving Time is here with longer days, which provide more time to splash and relax. You may even want to have a pool party to celebrate the return of warm, sunny days.
If you maintained your pool over winter, you shouldn’t have much to do to get it ready. Take off the cover, look for dirt or algae, clean it off and check the pool’s mechanical parts for any damage. Make sure everything is in good working order. Once that’s done, clean any leaves or other debris off the bottom and start the pump.
You’re almost ready. Let the vacuum circulate for a day while you make sure everything around the pool is clean. Then test your water to determine if you need to add chemicals.
